Have you ever wondered how places got their name? Well so did Bart Bird . Come to the Tuolumne County Library on Wednesday May 8th at 6PM to hear the answer. Bart Bird will portray Commodore Robert F. Stockton. Born and raised in Stockton, CA, as a young school boy Bart was interested in why the city of Stockton was named after Commodore F. Stockton, and now well over have a century later Bart is sharing that adventure with young and old alike. Bart has depicted Robert Stockton for over two decades. History has come to life through the people and events surrounding the Comnodores life. In 2022 he moved to Sonora and to his ancestral roots.
