A palette of autumn colors will please your eye on this month’s Tuolumne County Trailhead trip along the Middle Fork Stanislaus River. It’s hard to say what’s the most compelling attraction, though: the river, the Dogwoods and Big-leaf Maples, the bright mosses on the rocks, the wildlife, or the remnants of hydro-electric infrastructure. The Tuolumne County Trailhead program airs on KAAD-LP 103.5 FM (Sonora’s community radio station) on second and fourth weekends at 12:30pm; hikes are monthly on first Saturdays.
