The show, which has yet to be named, will be written, directed, and designed by the student participants of FWAP (Future Writers, Actors, & Producers), hosted at Mountain Youth and Community Theatre. In the
span of two weeks, participants learned to plan and write a script, compose music, design a set and
costumes, produce the show, and it all culminates in this LIMITED-RUN of their brand new show! Get

The Future Writers, Actors, & Producers (FWAP) Camp is a summer camp produced and organized by
Joey Fitzgerald, facilitated through Mountain Youth and Community Theatre, located at the Webster
Theatre. FWAP is dedicated to providing a camp for those who want to expand their general knowledge of
musical theater through the process of writing and producing a brand-new musical.
Week one focuses on the fundamentals of storytelling, scene writing, and music composition in musicals.
By the end of week one, the major parts of the story, scenes, and music will be set. Week two will see the
show that was written put on stage, with every student engaging in the opportunities to block scenes,
choreograph dance numbers, conduct music, program lights, create costumes, and paint. Each student
will not only be a writer, but also a director, producer, designer, and performer. By the end of week two,
the show will hit the stage for a one-weekend performance.
