The public is invited to attend the Community Visioning Forum for the Rails with Trails – Jamestown initiative on Thursday, October 16, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at 18141 Main Street, Jamestown.
Led by the Jamestown Happiness Project, in partnership with the Tuolumne County Transportation Council (TCTC) and Blue Zones Project – Tuolumne (BZP), this event marks a key milestone in the Strategic Growth Council–funded planning phase, which has been underway for the past two years.
This interactive forum invites residents, families, and outdoor enthusiasts to help shape the vision for Jamestown’s Rails with Trails initiative — an exciting effort to blend the area’s rich rail heritage with new opportunities for recreation, connection, and community wellness.
Attendees will have the chance to:
• Learn more about the proposed Rails with Trails concept
• Share ideas, feedback, and hopes for the project’s future
• Collaborate with community leaders and local organizations
All ages are welcome, and refreshments will be provided.
“This is about more than creating a trail — it’s about building a shared vision for Jamestown’s future,” said a project representative. “We want to hear from the people who live, work, and play here.”
