Studio 4 Dance Theater is proud to announce its highly anticipated annual Student Showcase, set to light up the stage at the Bret Harte Theater in Angels Camp this coming May. Mark your calendars for an enriching display of talent as our dedicated dancers perform an array of captivating dance pieces across multiple genres.
This year’s showcase promises to be an unforgettable experience with performances covering jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and ballet. The long-standing tradition continues to highlight the hard work and passion of both new and returning dancers under the skilled guidance of Artistic Director Tammie Lee.
Featured performances and choreography highlights include a number by Stacia Sharp who will captivate audiences with a contemporary number to the song “Sometimes.” In Gracie Strand’s lyrical ballet, students dance to “Falling For Ya.” Addison Miller has choreographed a lyrical piece to “Hold My Hand,” and Linda Hein’s jazz number is set to the music, “Feather.” Stacie Sharp and Abby Fuqua co-choreographed a jazz the fun number “Jailhouse Rock.”
Sarah Long, co-director will showcase her versatility with numbers in contemporary and jazz, highlighting the diverse talent within our school.
Artistic Director Tammie Lee shares, “The Student Showcase is not just a performance but a celebration of our young talent here in Calaveras County. It’s always a joy to see our students shine and share their growth and passion for dance with the community.”
● When: May 3rd, 2024, at 7:00pm and May 4th, 2024, at 2:00pm & 7:00pm
Tickets are available for purchase on April 26th at the Studio 4 School of Dance between 5:00-7:00pm and on April 27th from 11:00am and 1:00pm. Ticket prices are $14 for Adults and $10 for Youth aged 17 and younger. Tickets can also be purchased at the door one hour before each performance. Doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime.
