Our 2026 programs honor the significance of the 175th anniversary of Tuolumne County’s official establishment (2025) and the City of Sonora (2026).

Mike Merritt, District Interpretive Manager for California State Parks, and Lindsay Laney, Columbia College faculty, will introduce the upcoming speaker series. (January – June 2026).

At the January 14 program, Mike will highlight the California State parks initiative for inclusive history and storytelling, and Lindsay will provide an overview of the Beyond Gold: Stories Across Cultures speakers who will present at Columba College and the Tuolumne County Museum courtyard throughout the spring.
