Naturalist David Lukas will give a presentation titled “Understanding Bird Song” at the Wednesday, February 19 meeting of the Central Sierra Audubon Society (CSAS). Any interested members of the community are invited to attend the 7 p.m. presentation in person in the Tuolumne County Library Community Room at 480 Greenley Road in Sonora or view the presentation on Zoom. Bird songs have been a source of fascination and mystery since humans started watching birds,” Lukas said.
Lukas will unpack the hidden meanings and profound complexity of this natural phenomenon that happens all around us and that so often goes unnoticed. He will decode and demystify the patterns, pitch and purpose o bird song, giving attendees a new way to hear and understand the natural world around them.
