Mother Lode Views featured the CEO of Calaveras County, Teresa Hitchcock. She highlighted the response and ongoing recovery efforts following the Gann Fire in the Valley Springs area and detailed information about resources available for those impacted by the fire.  The county supervisors also recently approved a new preliminary budget for Fiscal Year 2026-27, and she talked about the impacts and related infrastructure projects. In addition, she spoke about the board’s recent direction to impose a moratorium on AI Data Center projects, and what spurred the move. She also recapped recent discussions and changes planned, related to fire funding allocations, following the passage of the Measure A sales tax. The full interview is below:
