TC Sheriff Vasquez Talks Crime Trends

It was a little over a year and a half ago that Vasquez stepped into the role of Sheriff, following the retirement of Bill Pooley. Topics included crime trends, the operations of the jail, plans to move the dispatch center to Striker Court, the importance of relaunching the Tuolumne Narcotics Team, the Sheriff’s Office response to the TCU Lightning Complex Fire, and the role of school resource officers. In addition, he highlighted some recent incidents, ranging from a major drug bust, to a positive story about a dispatcher who helped a south county resident give birth to a baby last week.
