New Yosemite Resort With 100+ Cabins Opening Soon

Sponsored by:

Oakhurst, Madera County — Outbound Yosemite, with over 100 cabins at a 17-acre retreat, is taking reservations online now for June of 2026. The resort is 15 miles from the South Gate of Yosemite National Park.

The resort features 104 cabins and 14 lodge-style rooms along a slope arranged for scenic views. Amenities include a pool and a hot tub, plus a 300-person conference center. Oakhurst is busiest with tourism between May and September, the conference center aims to bring in more visits to the town from October to April. There will also be pizza and other casual dining food options developed by Folkart Management.

A news release from Outbound Hotels states the Yosemite resort is the brand’s first ground-up build and touts the rustic character and amenities as “a modern basecamp for outdoor exploration in California’s Sierra Nevada.” The project has had county approval since 2018 and the groundbreaking was in January 2024. The currently closed Hounds Tooth Inn, a bed and breakfast, will reopen with the Outbound Yosemite property’s newly constructed buildings by Amrut and Argosy Real Estate Partners.

Outbound’s existing properties included The Virginian Lodge in Jackson Hole, WY; Outbound Mammoth in Mammoth Lakes, CA; and Outbound Stowe in Stowe, VT, with a second new property opening in Sedona, AZ in the later half of 2026. Outbound Hotels named CoralTree Hospitality, formed in 2018 and based in Denver, as its exclusive operating partner. CoralTree manages more than 50 hotels, resorts, and vacation rentals and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Los Angeles-based Lowe, a real estate investment, management, and development firm.
