Report: Valley Smog Reduction Insufficient

A public interest group says San Joaquin Valley air regulators are not doing enough to curb pollution in the region, which has seen more violations of the daylong smog standard than any place in the country.
In a report released today, the Union of Concerned Scientists calls for restructuring the local air pollution board so local districts can coordinate land use, transportation and planning through a regional authority.
