Columbia College Features Free Tsunami Talk Tonight

A tsunami like the one that devastated Asia could strike in Northern California. Remarkably similar geologic makeup means a devastating tidal wave preceded by an earthquake is a distinct possibility in the golden state. Columbia College professor Dr. Jeff Tolhurst will examine that possibility and explain the science behind tsunamis and earthquakes during a free lecture and presentation in the Dogwood Forum this evening. College spokesman Doug Lau says tonight´s event will be both timely and informative. The presentation begins at 7 p.m. and is free to attend.
