Minor Injury Rollover Snarls Traffic In Twain Harte

Sponsored by:

Twain Harte, CA — CHP says a rollover accident resulted in minor injuries to a Sonora teenager and snarled up traffic at the west end of Twain Harte yesterday.

CHP Spokesman Tom Wills says 77-year-old Warren McDonald of Twain Harte was stopped at the intersection of Plainview Drive and Highway 108 when he decided to pull onto the westbound lanes of the highway.

Wills says the left turn took McDonald into the path of a car driven by 17-year-old Bradley Beach of Sonora. Police say McDonald stopped when he saw Bradley´s car coming at him.

A police report indicates Bradley then took evasive action to avoid a collision. His car then reportedly jumped a concrete median and rolled.

Police say Bradley was taken to Sonora Regional Hospital with contusions and hip pain. McDonald was uninjured.

The mishap closed the westbound lanes of the highway as police cleared the scene.
