EDC Plans Sexual Harassment Seminar

Sonora, CA — The Economic Development Company of Tuolumne County is providing training to employers and managers on how to properly handle and prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.
A new state law dictates that supervisors or employers that deal with 50 or more employees, contractors or vendors must undergo at least two hours of sexual harassment education every two years.
The half-day workshop fulfills that guideline. Beth Hirsch of HRM Consulting is slated to lead the session on such topics as federal and state laws, prevention and how to handle complaints and claims.
The workshop is scheduled for November 16th at the East Sonora Conference Center.
