Valley Springs Man Sentenced To Seven Years In Elder Abuse Case
San Andreas, CA — A Valley Springs man is facing a seven-year prison term after pleading no contest to felony elder abuse charges.
Fifty-five-year-old Alan Deyarmon and his wife Rosie Deyarmon were arrested in June after authorities discovered Deyarmon´s 91-year-old mother in bed near death in the couple´s home.
A four-year-old and a seven-year-old boy were also discovered living in the house.
Deyarmon entered the plea in Superior Court Monday as part of a plea arrangement in which charges of financial abuse and child endangerment were dropped.
Deyarmon has been lodged at the Calaveras County Jail since his arrest. Rosie Deyarmon remains at the jail on $130,000 bail.
