San Andreas, CA — A Calaveras County Superior Court Judge has sentenced a 24-year-old man to two years in state prison for violating his felony probation by furnishing alcohol to minors.

Douglas MeWhinney handed down the sentence against Jacob Gallegos yesterday. The District Attorney´s office says Gallegos entered guilty pleas to five misdemeanor counts in late July.

The charges stem from a car accident in which 17-year-old Steven Ferrari of Arnold and 16-year-old Ernest Mann were killed after several teens consumed the alcohol at a birthday party in May.

Three others, including the car´s driver were seriously injured in the crash on Blagen Road. Prosecutors say the driver had alcohol and marijuana in his system at the time of the accident.

Gallegos was arrested two months later.
