Calaveras Celebrates The Holidays

Calaveras County, CA — Holiday festivities are slated to take place all around Calaveras County this weekend.
Friday night the town of Murphys will host its annual open house, featuring a parade at 6 p.m., holiday treats, caroling and the lighting of the Christmas tree.
Saturday Angels Camp and Valley Springs will also host parades. The Angels Camp parade starts at 4 p.m. The Valley Springs parade is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Daphne Street.
The Copperopolis Elementary School will have a tree lighting ceremony at the park next to the school following a gathering from 2 to 5 p.m.
Finally, on Sunday, a children´s safety and fun fair, complete with an appearance by Santa Claus, will be held at Bret Harte High School from noon to 4 p.m.
