Calaveras Sued By Inmate
Sponsored by:
San Andreas, CA — While in Calaveras County Jail, Charles Marsh claims he was assaulted by two correctional officers and is suing the county for damages.
The Board of Supervisors will hold a closed session to discuss the case next Tuesday.
Marsh sued the county two years ago for a broken hip that needed replacing after being put in jail for driving under the influence.
The county maintains Marsh got into a confrontation with another inmate and became combative with the officers.
A hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. January 10 in Department 1A of Superior Court.
