Teenage DUI arrest Costly

Sponsored by:

As graduates get their diplomas this week, school will be hosting sober grad parties following the pomp and circumstance. Besides helping to save lives and injury, those parties could help save teenage drivers and their parents a lot of money.

The AAA of Northern California says a first time conviction for DUI- can cost up to $12,000 in fees and fines, not to mention an increase of up to $1,500 in annual insurance costs .

The teenage drunk or drugged driver will spend 48 hours in jail, 3 years on probation and 7 years with 2 points on their driving record.

Drivers under 21 years-old, will have their driver license taken away for one year.

Sonora High´s Sober Grad party is tonight at the Sonora Elks Lodge…. Summerville High — tomorrow night at their brand new Gym.
