EDC Funding Considered Today

Will funding for the Economic Development Company continue… or not? Today´s meeting of the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors will answer that question.

It´s an item being presented by County Administrator C. Brent Wallace.

The board will consider an array of options, from imposing a Business License Fee to fund the Economic Development Company to keeping the funding status quo from last year.

The Supervisors could also decide to include the EDC as part of the County Administrator´s Office, or find a funding source outside the county´s general fund.

All options will require substantial additional research, Wallace says, except for keeping the funding the same as last year.

The Board Meeting gets underway at 9am, on the fourth floor of the county adminitration building.
