Stanislaus County To Replace Voting System

Stanislaus County is preparing to modernize its voting system — and replace its 20-year-old punch card system. But Secretary of State Kevin Shelley says the county may have saved millions just by avoiding computer-based touchcreen voting systems. Shelley has decertified those systems in 14 counties.
