Jamestown, CA — Mathiesen Memorial Health Clinic will hold a groundbreaking this coming Tuesday for its new 19,280-square-foot Health and Wellness Facility in Jamestown.
It is happening thanks to funding awarded by the California Department of Health Care Services under the Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program. It is also due to the commitment of the Chicken Ranch Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians, which purchased the 1.8 acres for the new facility.
The groundbreaking will be held during the 10 o’clock hour on Tuesday, June 30, at the site at 18530 Fifth Avenue North in Jamestown. Tribal and community members, partners, elected officials, and general supporters, are invited to attend.
The facility will more than double MMHC’s current clinical space and create a centralized hub for integrated healthcare services serving both Tribal and non-Tribal residents throughout the Sierra Foothills. By bringing primary care, behavioral health, and wellness services together under one roof, MMHC aims to provide a seamless whole-person care experience that addresses the physical, emotional, behavioral, and social needs of patients and families.
