Sonora, CA—PG&E utility work in downtown Sonora will slow traffic next week, causing commuter delays.
Summit Line Construction, based in Roseville, was hired to complete the repair work at three downtown locations, using flaggers and signage, which will cause up to 10-minute delays. The firm relayed that the work times will vary at the sites and provided these details:
Monday, July 6, 2026, crews will be making pole repairs at 933 S. Washington Street near Tuolumne Street and off Highway 108.
Tuesday, July 7, 2026, crews will make pole repairs at two locations near Sonora High School. One is at 280 Alpine Lane near West Bonanza Road off Highway 49, and the other is at 132 McCormick Drive near Shaws Flat Road.
