One Person Dead In Head-On Crash

A fiery head-on traffic accident on Highway 132 in Stanislaus County has claimed the life of at least one person this morning.
That crash — near Turlock Lake and the Tuolumne River– reported at 8:15 this morning — completely shut down traffic in both directions.
California Highway Patrol is confirming one person died in the crash, another was taken by air ambulance with major injuries to a Modesto Hospital.
One of the cars involved was totally engulfed in flames when emergency crews arrived. No word yet on when the highway between Modesto and the Yosemite area will be reopened to traffic.
