College Offers Spring Computer Classes

Columbia College Community Education is offering four short-term computer basics classes at its Advanced Technology Training Center (ATTC) in East Sonora. Space is still available in the following classes:

Build a Website using Front Page – Use templates to build a personal or small business website. Learn how to insert graphics, pictures, links and build a text-based web page. Prior computer experience and familiarity with Microsoft Word highly recommended. Class meets on two Fridays, Mar. 26 and Apr. 2, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Beginning Microsoft Word – Master this popular word processing program. Class meets on Monday and Wednesday, Apr. 5 and 7, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Internet Basics for Seniors – Discover how easy it is to use Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer to send email and do Internet research. Class meets on Monday and Wednesday, Apr. 12 and 14 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Computer Basics for Seniors – Beginning computer skills will be taught, including use of the mouse and navigating the Windows operating system. No previous experience is required for this class, which meets on Monday and Wednesday, Apr. 19 and 21 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Class fees range from $41 to $51 each and all courses will be taught by Ron Schenone at the ATTC facility, located at 14647 Mono Way in the Hillsdale Shopping Center. Parking is available at the door of the classroom for the convenience of those with disabilities.
