Valley Springs, CA — A swearing-in ceremony was held this week for Fire Chief Ryan Hamre, the new leader of the Calaveras Consolidated Fire Protection District.
He takes over for the recently retired Roger Dickinson. Chief Hamre has served 15 years with the district as both a Fire Marshall and a member of the Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Calaveras Consolidated, Chief Hamre served with the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District and the Amador Fire Protection District.
The district reports, “We are excited to welcome Chief Hamre into this new chapter of leadership and look forward to the continued professionalism, experience, and dedication he will bring to our firefighters and the communities we proudly serve.”
The swearing-in ceremony was held on Monday.
The district serves communities such as Valley Springs, Burson, Wallace, Campo Seco, Milton, Rancho Calaveras, La Contenta, and Jenny Lind.
