Peterson Trial: Penalty Deliberations Resume Today
Sponsored by:
Jurors in the Peterson murder trial will have their first full day to deliberate the fate of Scott Peterson.
The case went to the jury yesterday afternoon after passionate closing arguments from both the prosecution and the defense.
Prosecutor Dave Harris called Peterson a “manipulator” and a “liar” as he urged jurors to sentence Peterson to death.
Defense attorney Mark Geragos pleaded with the jury to spare his client from execution, and instead send Peterson to prison for life without parole.
The jury is scheduled to resume its deliberations at 8:00.
