2 Reptiles Recovered; Teen Charged in Angels
A follow up to a reptile theft story we brought you this week.
Angels Camp Police report a 15-year-old boy is now facing charges in connection with the weekend break-in at Mark Twain Elementary School.
The teen now faces charges of suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property, grand theft and vandalism… according to Angels Police Chief Tony Tachiera.
He also says two of the five stolen reptiles, a bearded dragon named Puff and a ball python snake named Monty Bob, have been recovered.
A school janitor noticed the broken aquariums and missing animals on Sunday morning.
Windows were also broken at the school.
Tacheira says the investigation is ongoing, and other arrests are expected.
