Former Governor Wants Prison System Overhaul

California´s former “law-and-order” governor is calling for a major overhaul of the state prison system. Former Governor George Deukmejian helped build California´s prison system into the nation´s largest.
He told a government reform panel Friday that the state must provide more education and job training to inmates to keep them from committing more crimes.
