Good News For Tuolumne County Budget
Tuolumne County Supervisors talk budget this coming week and it´s some good news for a change.
Now that the delayed state budget is finally in place, County administrator C. Brent Wallace will give supervisors an update on the 2004-2005 county budget. Wallace plans to tell the board most of what the county had projected back in July – as far as state revenues are concerned – still remains intact.
Plus, after final accounting at the end of last fiscal year — an pleasant surprise. Wallace reports the county´s general fund balance increased nearly $900,000 putting the general fund balance at $2.7 million.
Supervisors and staff hold the budget session at 9 o´clock Tuesday morning in the board chambers in Sonora.
