Woman, Baby Rescued From Burning Home
Tuolumne County firefighters rescued a woman and infant from a burning home in Long Barn just after 11 o´clock last night.
First to arrive at the house fire on the 25,400 block of David Drive in Odd Fellows/Long Barn, Mi-Wuk-Sugar Pine firefighters found the woman – confined to a wheel chair – and the baby she was watching, trapped on the second floor. Fire dispatchers say the house was fulled with smoke and a water heater was burning in the basement. Fire crews gained access to the house and brought the pair out.
The two were not injured in the ordeal and the flames confined to the area around the water heater thanks to fast work by firefighters.
