Head-On Collision At Hwy 108 and Stockton

A head-on collision left multiple people injured around noon Saturday, one of them critically.
The CHP says 2 vehicles were involved, and at least 2 patients were pinned inside the vehicles, and were extricated shortly after the wreck.
The helicopter from Doctor´s Medical Center in Modesto lifted off the ground carrying the severely injured patient around 12:20 Saturday afternoon.
In addition, the CHP said 2 dogs were in one of the vehicles, and County Animal Control had to be contacted.
It´s too soon to know the cause of the wreck, or the identities of the injured.
Highways 108 and 49 should be reopened shortly.
