Sponsored by:
California´s prospective foster parents will get anti-discrimination training if a bill that´s cleared the state Assembly becomes law. The bill´s aim: to make sure foster parents respect children´s race, ethnicity, religion and sexual orientation. Assembly Republicans say it will trigger a greater shortage of foster parents. Democrats say it´s needed to prevent assaults and insults in foster homes. The bill now goes to the Senate.
