Crash Sends Driver´s Car Flying Into Trees

California Highway Patrol officers arrested a Sonora man at Tuolumne General Hospital following a solo vehicle accident on Highway 49 in the Columbia area early Saturday morning. The CHP says due to his intoxication, 24 year-old Nicholas Prebalick lost control of his car around 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning, went airborne briefly and then collided with a number of small trees, eventually ending upside down, suspended in one of the trees. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of major injuries and arrested for DUI.
