Fatal Jamestown Fire

One person is dead after a fire ripped through a home in Jamestown yesterday evening.
The fire was first reported at 5:04 p.m. last night at 18235 Berry Lane near Campo Seco. A spokesman at the fire command center says the single story structure was nearly fully involved when fire fighters arrived.
Neighbors reported seeing a huge column of black smoke coming from the home.
Tuolumne County Sheriff investigators will be back out at the scene of the fatal blaze at sun-up to continue sifting through the debris for clues.
The name of the victim has not been released as of this morning.
