Jet Flyover Still Mystery

Some Mother Lode residents are still talking about it. Two weeks ago a pair of military fighter jets buzzed Jamestown and Sonora at about 7 p.m. , causing panic in some and awe in others. The fly over generated dozens of telephone calls to the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s and Sonora Police Department and AM 1450 KVML radio.
According to a Modesto Bee investigation, a spokeswoman for the Air National Guard´s 116th Fighter Wing in Fresno, says is was not them.
One witness identified the jets as twin-engine F/A-18 Hornets. California National Guard in Sacramento also responded by saying it wasn´t them either.
