Sex Offender Trial On Hold

Criminal proceedings have been suspended against a man considered to be Kern County´s most notorious sex offender.
A judge ordered a mental exam for Teddy Compelleebee to see if he´s competent to stand trial. The 46-year-old was arrested in July accused of molesting an eight-year- old girl in the Taft area.
Compelleebee spent more than 20 years in a mental hospital for the rape and mutilation of a ten-year-old Arvin girl when he was 16.
