Mexico Wildfire Has CDF Worried

Fire officials are watching a fire in Mexico about a half-mile from the California border that has grown to 2,500 acres. A spokeswoman with the California Department of Fire says the fire across the border from Tecate, California is currently “not very active” and winds are calm. But the CDF has sent two crews and five engines into Mexico to fight the fire´s hot spots and prevent it from spreading, she says.
