The number of whooping cough cases diagnosed at a Central California hospital is on the rise. Officials at Children´s Hospital Central California say they´ve seen 55 cases of whooping cough over the past 12 months. It´s a sharp increase for a hospital that usually treats one or two cases per month. Hospital staffers say most of the new cases are being seen in babies younger than six months old.
