The trial of David Westerfield will resume on Monday. Yesterday, prosecutors continued tracing Westerfield´s whereabouts in the days following the disappearance of Danielle van Dam. Westerfield, who´s charged with kidnapping and murdering Danielle, told police that he went on a rambling trip in his motor home from the beach to the desert in early February. Several witnesses camping near the beach at Silver Strand State Park in Coronado said they noticed Westerfield´s motor home because the curtains were drawn inside the vehicle. Donald Raymond, a volunteer greeting visitors at the park that day said he saw Westerfield produce his wallet, contradicting a statement the defendant made to police. Westerfield told police investigators he left the beach after paying for two nights because he forgot his wallet.
