Local Parent Wants Book Pulled From Sonora High School

A Sonora resident wants the Sonora Union High School District to take the science fiction classic Slaughterhouse Five off of the library shelves and off the curriculum. Citing profanity and material of a sexual nature within the story, Art Hay wants the book banned from the school and is going in front of the High School District Board to voice his displeasure. Written by Kurt Vonnegut, Slaughterhouse Five was published in 1969.
