Former Lawmaker Carpenter Dies

A former colleague reports the death of former state Senator Paul Carpenter, who spent 12 years in the Legislature and seven years in a federal prison on fraud charges. Carpenter died today in San Antonio, Texas. His daughter, Jana Carpenter-Koklich of Lakewood, has been missing since last August.
