EPA Settles Suit Over SJ Valley Air Quality Standards

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has agreed to settle a lawsuit charging it with neglecting its duties to enforce clean air standards in the San Joaquin Valley. The agreement lodged this week in U.S. District Court in San Francisco requires the EPA to accept or reject a four year old cleanup plan to reduce soot and other particles from the valley´s air.
