Amador County Man Charged With The Murder Of His Children

An Amador County man has been charged with murder in the deaths of his two children while prosecutors say he was driving drunk. Authorities say David Dean Goff of Rescue deliberately slammed into a tree in an apparent attempt to kill the girls and himself. The highway patrol says they found Goff and his two little girls trapped inside Goff´s pickup truck after a solo crash January 6th. Officers say 23-month-old Lena and three-year-old Melia Marie were dead at the scene. A blood sample taken from Goff showed he was drunk at the time of the crash. He was arrested Saturday as he was being released from the hospital.
