Del Villar Get New Forest Service Post

Stanislaus National Forest Supervisor Ben del Villar has been named an assistant director of Natural Resources Management in the U.S. Forest Service´s Regional office in Vallejo.
Regional Forester Jack Blackwell made the announcement Monday afternoon. del Villar´s new duties will include oversight of lands and minerals activities on the 18 national forests in California. He starts in his new position Sept. 9.
Blackwell says Deputy Stanislaus Forest Supervisor Glenn Gottschall will take over the forest reigns until a permanent replacement for del Villar is selected.
