The University of California, San Francisco says it has begun distributing embryonic stem cells to researchers. UCSF says it is shipping cells to nine U-S researchers and two scientists in the United Kingdom. The school is considering 30 more applications. The cells are derived from one of two stem cell colonies maintained at the school.
