Governor Davis Pays Fine

Governor Davis has agreed to pay $50,000 dollars in fines to settle a complaint that accused his campaign
committee of donation-reporting violations.
The state Fair Political Practices Commission´s staff says Davis´ committee failed to report, or was late in
reporting, more than 160,000 dollars in last minute contributions he received
before the 1998 primary and general elections.
