A lawyer for Bay Area tech giant Hewlett-Packard has denied that its top leaders are threatening to resign if shareholders reject the company´s 22 billion dollar plan to buy Compaq Computer.
In a letter filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, HP attorney Larry Sonsini told a lawyer for dissident HP board member Walter Hewlett that such assertions are incorrect and misleading.
