Multiple Caltrans Cone Zones Coming This Week
Sonora, CA — Delays of up to ten minutes at a time will be the norm most of the week across many work zones set up along the major Mother Lode roadways.
Expect several hot spots daily on Highway 108. These are located at Fifth Avenue in Jamestown as utility repairs continue every weekday from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.; between Lyons Dam Road and Strawberry East during tree work weekdays and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.; from Long Barn to Stoddard Springs Road — and from there to the Donnell Rest Area — as paving crews work from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.; between Camp Blue Road to Georges Drive weekdays during drainage work from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Additionally, Tuesday through Friday a tree crew will be toiling between Coffill and Middle Camp Sugar Pine roads from 6:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.
Highway 120 in Groveland will be abuzz, too. Tree work is still going on between Old Priest Grade and the Yosemite National Park West Boundary entrance, scheduled Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday Caltrans will close part of the highway between Merrell and Ferretti roads from 8:45 until 10 a.m. to accommodate the kick off parade for the 49ers Festival and Chili-Salsa Cookoff. Remember, too, that ten-minute delays are ongoing as round-the-clock renovations continue at the Tuolumne River Bridge.
