Calaveras County Fair Just Around The Corner
Angels Camp, CA — While the focus this weekend is on the Mother Lode Roundup, next week is the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee.
Fair CEO Laurie Giannini will be the guest on this weekend’s Mother Lode Views. She will talk about the state of local fairs and what it takes to put on the popular community celebration. This year’s event is themed, “Country Nights and Carnival Lights.”
She will also speak about recent improvements at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds, the national media attention the frog jump draws, and new attractions at this year’s event. Gates open for the fair on Thursday at 8am. Later that morning at 10am the booths will open, and the youth parade will get underway in downtown Angels Camp. The fair will run through next Sunday evening.
